PappaRoti — Strathfield

PappaRoti is a Malaysian franchise that has been trending across Sydney in the past year.

Sans branding, its main product is known as a Mexican bun, which comprises of a sweet bun with a salted butter centre and a crunchy coffee coating. I love salty-sweet flavours (mmm…Oreo) and the fluffiness of the bun is a great contrast with the crispy coffee shell. It’s a pretty delicious offering but the sweet dessert can’t be eaten every day.

What I’ve mostly visited PappaRoti for is its AMAZING iced coffee. Some coffee you drink to help wake up in the morning but the PappaRoti coffee is a smooth blend that you sit back and enjoy on a sunny Spring day.

Unfortunately, the PappaRoti coffee at the new Strathfield store isn’t the amazeballs stuff that’s available at its Cabramatta and Mascot branches. But while it lacks the velvety thickness, it’s still got a great taste!

If you’re in the neighbourhood, PappaRoti is running a free bun (usually $2.20) with drink purchase for the weekend.
